Good news about Rudraksha from Bhimashankar

From website of Mr. Kamal Seetha, author of the book "The Power of Rudraksha":
  • "Rudraksha trees of Nepal origin are growing at the Rudra Jyoti farm house just 13 Km away from Nagpur city centre. These are about 6 years old. They should flower and bear fruits from next year.
  •  Rudraksha plantation on state forest department’s menu for eco-tourism development:
Devout worshippers and collectors of exotic beads have always pointed to Nepal as the only safe bet while buying authentic rudrakshas. All that, however, could soon be history. If the state government’s efforts are successful, Bhimashankar, the Jyotirlinga shrine 120 km from Pune, could become the next rudraksha hotspot, making it the first site for cultivation of this exotic bead in India."

Most interesting for us from the book

     From the readers:
  •     "Such a big book, dedicated solely to Rudraksha, its a fortunate sign and great present for the people like we are, even no matter of its further content - as such attention and importance of Rudraksha - enough to write a whole book - is already very pleasant..."
  • " Looks big, but could be much, much bigger. Rudraksha's essence - holy texts like Puranas added to the various modern discoveries, rudraksh-wearing tests on masses of people, with real & wide experience of the writer".
  • "If you don't have much time for such a grandeus books, then read just beginning - up to the words of guru who accept just beads of rudraksha to wear on a body".

Book itself didn't disappointed even those, who spend most of time in groves with  Rudraksha trees during last couple of years. As one of the most important example - fragments about Rudraksha from Shiva-Purana. This Purana also called "Shiva Maha Purana", as its one of the largest, central purana, dedicated to Shiva. In early times Shiva Purana was much bigger, however even present much shortened version is hard to find and read in full volume (or to meet someone who did that).  Rudra - the supreme lord and origin of Rudraksha - leaves His eyes semi-opened for unimaginable-continous time.  After this act of Maha-yoga the falling tears of this God became the Rudrakshas, by His will.

This is 3-rd among similar version, coming from scriptures about the origin of Rudrakshas: in
"Rudra Yamala Tantra" God keeps His eyes open (Trataka) for 1000 of Heavenly years, while in "Rudraksha Jabala Upanishada" He keeps eyes closed for the same time. Here, in Shiva Purana, the eyes of the God are semi-closed.
